Zeba Hisam is a doctor based in Karachi, Pakistan. Her basic qualification is
MBBS from Dow Medical College (Dow University of Health Sciences now).
She specializes medicine and is a fellow of College of Physicians & Surgeons
Pakistan (FCPS). She has been working as a consultant physician at Zubaida
Medical Center since 2009. She is Assistant Professor and Head of Physiology
Department, Fatima Jinnah Dental College since 2011. Initially She taught
medicine to the third year BDS students for two years. Then She joined the
pre-clinical campus to teach physiology to the first year BDS students. She is
also a visiting physician for an orthopedic Hospital, Jokhio Clinic for pre-
operative medical evaluation and treatment for patients undergoing orthopedic
surgeries. Prior to joining this institute, she was doing consultancy at Hill Park
General Hospital.
She worked as Resident Medical Officer in the medical ward of Civil
Hospital Karachi for her post graduation studies in the subject of
medicine. Prior to that, she worked at her private clinic for four years.
She worked as an RMO for four and a half years in the Orthopedic
and Medical Institute (OMI) and also as In-charge, Health Analysis
Program (HAP) there, before post graduation. She also worked at a
charity Hospital associated with an orphan house for two years.
She did her house job in the medical ward, ENT ward and OB/GYN.
She is fond of writing on social and medical issues for the English-
language national press. Her published work includes academic
research work, many articles on social and medical issues and
book reviews.
